Decided to buy a domain and move everything to beerretard.com. The new blog is on Wordpress and it looks rough because I haven't taken the time to play with the CSS Editor. I'll work on it.

I might keep something on LJ for any non-beer thoughts I want to vomit out. I hope you'll bookmark the new location or subscribe to the feed. I plan on ( Read more... )

Hey, saw your tweet. How were the Chuckanut beers? I've only tried their strong ale at the Winter Beer Fest, it was sour, thin, astringent and metallic! Hope the others are better.

Only had the Rauchbier. It was good...not as smoky as I like, but pretty solid. Definitely tasted clean, no off-flavors. I heard the Dortmunder was good too but I switched to Blind Pig and didn't look back.

The name of your blog is in bad taste.

The word retard is offensive. The Washington beer blog just removed a link to yours for that very reason.

Autism is a rapidly growing epidemic, now affecting 1 in every 110 children. If you haven't been touched by it yet, you soon will be. There is enough ignorance and myth around mental health and its varied diseases. Please don't add to it. Thanks. It's the right thing to do.

That's true, who said anything about autism? You did, in an attempt to argue your point that the term "retard" is offensive. Well, autism and mental retardation are different things and they don't necessarily go hand-in-hand. One can be autistic and not be mentally retarded. In fact, it's estimated that less than half of autistic individuals are mentally retarded ( ... )
