do any of you photographers have a preference for brands of filters?

i found this one, and it's got good reviews, but i'm new at buying filters and need help.

i'm looking for a polarizing one. and i think circular is the way to go, right? and linear is for older cameras, right?

Could not tell you. I bought a circular polarizer from Best Buy and LOVE it. So I bought one for all my cameras. And UV filters too. So I don't know. I think you should probably go with the brand that offers teh best reviews.
