I feel that way when I see movie adaptions of books I like. I'll be watching the movie, and then they'll change something or leave something out, and I'll whisper what it is into my husband, usually annoyed LOL
We just saw a production of A Midsummer Night's Dream and they swapped Titania and Oberon - it was really well done but for the first act things kept feeling wrong and I couldn't quite tell why.
It must be sort of fun to know what trick some prop will do beforehand! I’ve always loved going to the theater; Hubby and I mostly do dinner theaters now, lol.
I love this! I dont work in theater or film (not since high school!) but as a viewer I am so much more enraptured with the behind-the-scenes. I love it all, but I cant help but focus on the hows and whys. You should definitely get back into it! Your passion really comes through!
Honestly sometimes behind the scenes is the better show, it's just as intricate and usually more obscene - heh. Thanks for the encouragement and kind words.
Aw, it must be hard to let all that go, though. I still strain with not playing in an orchestra, and given that it's been more than 31 years since I really practiced the violin, I know that whole avenue is lost to me, but... it comes back anytime I hear a live performance. :O
