Omega/ NESARA Scams

Does anyone out there has any personal experience with the Omega Trust scam or any of its offshoots, NESARA for example? I'm trying to gather information on what exactly happened to my family and what to do next ( Read more... )

Oh, geez. That sounds like a real mess. I'm almost certain that relevant support groups exist - also try looking for groups for victims of scams or cults.

I've watched family members lose money on all sorts of fraudulent or shady things, though never anywhere near this scale - but I've come to realize that there's nothing I can do; until they're unable to make their own decisions in life I just have to let them make their own poor choices.

On the other hand, I've stopped lending money - that never turns out well. If necessary, give a gift, but don't call it a loan and expect to get it back.

Well, I'm not sure about support groups or getting the money back, but I know that the FTC would be VERY interested in talking to your parents or at least you about this ( ... )

I wish I had any advice to offer, but I've never had family in this situation so I don't have anything to add to what's already been said. I'm sorry, though--it's a terrible situation to have to deal with.
