Pierrefonds - part 1
As you probably know, I just returned from a major adventure! And the reason for the entire thing was the trip to Pierrefonds, where jhava, loreley_se, rodneyscat and I hoped to maybe catch a glimpse of our boys. Fortune definitely smiled on us! We decided it must be all the good karma we've collected for being such good fangirls throughout the years. :)
We all met at Gare du Nord train station in Paris, where we rented a car and promptly got stuck in traffic. Before long though, we were winding our way through the French countryside, and straight to Pierrefonds. I stood around goggling at the castle for a few minutes, and then we made our way into the courtyard, and took up a post on a stairway. After a while I noticed everyone was pointing their cameras in one particular direction, and looked over to see what was causing the excitement....
...and found the focus of the attention:
After a while Rupert came out to join him, and there was earbud sharing and singing:

Then there were these guys. Noticing a group of women with cameras, they decided to put on a bit of a show for us. They hammed it up, we laughed and took more pictures, causing Bradley to lean over to see what the heck was going on! *g* We quickly dubbed them the slash knights. :D
We also saw this guy:
There was filming going on inside the castle, and he came out to take a break and survey his kingdom. *g*
And then, just when the cold had started seeping into my bones, and I was thinking that now I just needed to see Colin, he walked right into my line of sight. And I kinda forgot who I was for a second. By the time I remembered that hey, I haz camera!, he was almost inside, but he turned around and made this goofy face at someone just in time for me to snap a photo:
As the evening shadows got deeper (and colder!) we went to out hotel to warm up and have dinner. And about that - I've always loved French food, but this was in a whole different universe of awesome! Foodgasm! More on the adorable little village and our adorable little hotel later.
The next day we spent the morning exploring the castle. (Again, more on that later.) Then in the afternoon, we hit the jackpot!
Arriving for work! Colin was all smiley, and Bradley said hello. :)
They filmed all afternoon in the courtyard, and we got to watch. It was a fascinating process, and there was a whole lot of pretty on hand...
Thoughtful boys are thoughtful.
Somebody said something funny...
And yes, I know this picture is out of focus. My camera has autofocus, which takes a couple seconds to do its thing, and if I'd waited for it to finish focusing, I would have totally missed this look. I knew it would sharpen up great icon-sized (points to icon). *g*
There was Katie looking lovely in spite of all the dirt and leaves sticking to her hair.
Bradley and sunlight = OTP
Oh...my heart.
This was during filming. Watching the boys fall in and out of character was really interesting.
He has such a pretty pout, doesn't he? ;)
As we were leaving that evening, we discovered there was more filming going on outside the castle. Sir Leon was there...
As were a group of knights and a guy with a smoke machine. *g*
When the director called, "action!" they all looked down over the hill with very concerned expressions. Don't know what's going on, but I didn't get the feeling it was good. :o
