Title: You never hear about the aftermath (1/1) Rating: PG Warnings: Spoilers 2x01 Characters: Quinn. Summary: Sometimes, it's the dreams that scare her the most. Written for diva_off.
I started writing a fic like this months ago but I abandoned it because I just couldn't get past this one sentence. LoL. But yours is so much better. So concise and beautifully worded. I really got a sense of Quinn's isolation. Really good job. :)
Thanks so much! I agree, it's a very traumatic experience to go through, and you don't come out from it unscathed. I do hope they address it. Thank you for reading =)
This is so perfect. I love the running motif of the hand on stomach. Particularly how you subvert the gesture from its normal connotations of motherhood and fulfilment, into something of emptiness and lacking. I love how Quinn's flatter stomach is a physical representation of how she is supposedly the same girl (but not).
You've captured Quinn's voice, particularly her ability for denial and self-deceit and this is an amazing piece.
This is lovely. I've been kind of frustrated by the fact that the glimpses of this kind of aftermath haven't materialized into something larger yet on the show. But this story filled it very very nicely.
