So Long and Thanks for all the Fish

They put on the announcement board at work that I passed my PHR exam.

I am not a big fan of public recognition, so I could have done without  that.

Of course, the fun is people guessing what they think PHR is. Still, no one has done better than my friend Sarah who suggested Pooh Hurling Regulator.

Anyway, I'm getting a lot of congratulatory e-mails ( Read more... )

all you need is me, stupid day job

Hee, no need. :) I just like any chance to use that icon. It is seriously great that you did so well on your exam.

Forgive me. I had no idea Pooh Hurling was that an elite a sport. Congratulations!

Of course, I know how you feel. No one cared when I won Consumer Journalist Of The Year in Indonesia. But then there's probably a good reason for that.

See... I've longed noticed you can post something deep and meaningful and no one says anything, but you post about the Ketchup Song or Sean Paul, and the responses are overwhelming.

Also, I diverted everyone's attention away from people expecting Part 3 of The Top 20 Albums list

Aww... here's a gold star for your Poor Hurling certificate. Now remember 1/3 of your fellow exam mates failed and you won :)

Congrats!

Worse, four of us at work took at it, and only three of us passed. Yikes!

Congratulations!
I've never thought a phrase so touching and inspiring as 'human resources.'

I never thought that books about firing people, union strikes, harassment, what happens when someone brings a gun to work, drug testing, and hazardous materials would be so boring.
