I've been toying with the thought of drawing more "realistic" P4 peeps...as in, not realistic at all but Azn-er. Then I remembered, oh yeah, Yosuke's design makes him look RIDICULOUSLY European. It's the eyes and the face shape -- everyone else could pass for Asian even if you ignored the ethnicity blurring. So I decided to look up Yosuke cosplay

I like that Yosuke cosplayers also tend to be a good object lesson in, 'no, really, if you bleach a Japanese person's hair to that brown and then gel it a bit, actually, that is pretty much exactly what it does.'

You just illustrated one of the reasons I liked P4's designs so much -- not only do they all look passably Asian (except for you, Yosuke, you and your sad eyes and angular face)but their hairstyles are all plausible. I know that seems like a shallow thing to be big on, but, uh...yeah.

Not to mention it gives such a lovely image of Yosuke putting on good ol' Blue Steel while he gels it in the morning~

To say nothing of the drama that must be involved in his bleaching it every couple months or so! OW IT BURNS, THE THINGS I DO FOR BEAUTY, etc.

WOW -- I didn't know Japanese men came in that flavoring. That's actually really helpful! Although I think Yosuke can only wish and pray he ends up that good looking someday.

And Oh lord, tell me about it. You just know there have been times where a hat has been absolutely necessary for that doof for weeks on end.

And I totally agree -- I mean, he's got a pretty solid jaw, but looks to be pretty much "done" growing facially. Maybe a few harder edges here and there, but generally just kinda adorable. Poor thing. Growing up "adorable" is like growing up into a literal manifestation of the Friend Zone.
