This is so good.
Writing style, dialogue and descriptions are fabulous as always, but what really makes me love this is how much of the characters you manage to show in these very short glimpses of their journey together. Anotsu's goals, Rin's conviction, the way they view each other.. You show it very effectively, and just. Gah.
"What you need is a woman who'll watch over you," Hisoka said. Her eyes listed away from his, always; she walked demurely, tiny steps with her back as straight as a post.
He wakes. Rin is curled across the clearing from him, her eyes slitted open.
This. The parallell with what Hisoka tells him is something I've been wanting to see explored, and hahah I knew I could count on you to pick up on it and use it somewhere. Also, you write the best Anotsu. You do.
