#24 is co-plotted by Roberts, thus proving once and for all that it's not the idea so much as the execution.

Though it helps if the idea is ORION PAX RIDES A CORPSE AT HIS ENEMIES. He's the REAL Ghost Rider!

That'd make him more of a corpse rider than a ghost rider, wouldn't it?

And yes, execution needs to be good too. I think the other problem was that it was scripted by the other guy.

It's also worth noting that the artist, Alex Milne, was also the artist for TF Origins: Megatron, but the breakdowns were terrible and nonsensical and yet in 22 & 23 they are crisp and easy to follow. So sometimes it's not just the artist but the script he has to work with, too.

#22 and #23 is crammed with detail and character and incident and word balloon, so Milne's art really shouldn't look so much better than Origins. A big chunk of that is Milne being better than he was four years ago, but clearly Roberts knows how to communicate to artists.

Au contraire. If you look at his TF: Energon work in 2004,milne was doing vastly better working with Furman, then he did in Origins.

I am amused at how America calls kiwifruit kiwi, and now seems to call kiwis kiwi birds.

I totally agree with you re: the last three TF issues. I wanted to really like the art for issue 24 for being different, but yeah, the colourist kinda messed it up.
