Word of Warning

Water-Tribes-Unite does not accept slash or femslash art.

This would not be a problem if they had actually said so upfront.

That's not very unifying of them. :\ I am unimpressed with the group.

Definitely unimpressed. I walked out after telling the owner she needed to actually post it somewhere that she doesn't want slash or femslash.

That's really all you can do. Warn people and then boycott. :P Trying to force her to change her mind probably won't work. :P

No point even trying to change her mind. I just hope she actually posts it publicly so other people will know. That's what bugs me the most about it.

Heh. <3

As a recommendation, I've really liked avatar-fans as a dA AtLA club. Well-run and well-organized and the rules are all clear and upfront.

*eyebrow raise*

That is interesting to know. People can do whatever they want with their groups for all I care (even though I don't agree), but you're right. They should SAY something in the rules.

Yeah. If it had been said in the rules, I might or might not have joined, but I would have at least known going in. Not saying it at all, then handling it the way the group-moderator did was not good.

The attitude of the mod in the reply was really ridiculous. Everyone has a right to like or dislike whatever they want, but to say that a same sex pairing is "rather unnecessary?" Apparently it wasn't to the artist who drew it, or to anyone who liked it.

I can't help but wonder, too, how they'd react if there was a canon gay Water Tribe member, even if it came from "Word of God" off the show... then again, I suppose I only need to look at Potter and Gargoyles to have my answer for that. -_-

Yeah. That really puts it clearly why her response irritated me. Thanks, I wasn't able to put my finger on it myself.

Yeeeaaaah.

That's good, at least. And yeah. They are not a group I approve of now, but I disapprove of them slightly less for at least being upfront about it.
