Azula had just turned sixteen when Father ordered Zuko to bring Uncle home to the Fire Nation. For the first time in two years, she laid eyes on her older brother.
The blood-red scar she remembered had faded to a blaze. He wore prince's armor, scarred not-so-badly as his face, and a phoenix-tail. Her lip curled; that was a child's style.
The ladies of the court didn't care. They wittered on about how dashing he looked, with his shaved head and long 'tail. As if he wasn't exiled and worthless, a contemptible failure.
Azula ignored her older brother. He ignored her in turn, even when she informed him of her mastery of lightning-bending. He merely looked at her with eyes pulled into a matching glare, then congratulated her. It sounded like it was being pulled out of him with tongs, which sent a warm thrill through her.
Still the ladies of court talked about him. Even Ty Lee was going on about Zuko. Mai was the only one who didn't ( ... )

It just figures that Mai was the only one who didn't go on about how handsome Zuko was, and I just love Azula's reaction to that. "Bitch." That is just too Azula. <3
Lovely and violent transition to sexytiems (I assume?), with Zuko all up and ready to fight and that turning Azula on.
