Kanna rolled her eyes and didn't look up from mending the nets. Sangilak could go on his merry way, thank you. Sealdung, the man had a lot of nerve coming out here at all! He'd asked her to marry him last night, and she'd turned him down. Most men would be hiding their shame by going out for a hunting trip.
Most men back home, she corrected herself. This wasn't home, this was the Southern Water Tribe, and they weren't like the Northern Water Tribe.
"You look ice today," Sangilak said with a grin, crouching down across from her. "Water you doing later?"
She turned her eyes away from him, trying to ignore those bright sky-blue eyes that had first enchanted her.
"Pole-ease, Kanna."
