Oh, Ho. Neat! I didn't know you were a SW ficcer as well. I like the conversational style you've got going here.
One thing I noticed is that the names came too rapid-fire to follow easily and I had to re-read those sections a couple times to figure out how many people there were, and who was who (and what species).
I don't really write Star Wars as now and then write stuff from a Star Wars RPG I was in. Which has the unfortunate side-effect that I'm usually writing for other people who were in it, and thus don't bother to explain what's going on and who people are. >_>
But yeah, that is a problem and something I need to work on when writing stories.
I liked the system, some of the players drove me nuts, some of the other players I adored... Then real life happened and while I was gone, so did some major drama.
I was a bit confused by this, but the ending is quite sweet, and my - the Empire doesn't really properly socialise their Stormtroopers, does it? Seems a lot of normal social interaction goes quite over Beni's head.
Well, properly socializing their Stormtroopers does seem like a lot of extra work for guys you just want to be soldiers and nothing else. *ruffles Beni and Screw* They're weirdo boys.
Yeah, the Empire has no reason to properly socialise its Stormtroopers... aside from the fact that, sometimes, they don't get shot by Rebels and survive to become civilians.
I wonder what all the clones running around does to the gene pool. >_>
