Today is my day off, so I went down to the comic shop for the first time in a month or two to pick up our collected issues. And, since Jess has been telling me all about Blackest Night, I went and splurged all over their Blackest Night selection and got the owner to try to re-order the main-storyline issues I'm missing

Other interesting tidbits: we finally find out who Rip Hunter is, though the heroes don't.

Actually, that hint was dropped once before in a previous issue. It's the sort of thing that if they were constantly rubbing it in your face, though, the reader would start to wonder, 'Why the heck haven't the characters figured out yet?' So it's good it doesn't get mentioned often.

Looking good, wish I had the rest of this particular arc.

That arc's really just now starting.

Oh wow. Nice to see Maxwell Lord again, even nicer to see a really good Diana story. She really is just plain amazing.

I'm going to take this moment to recommend her regular book. Gail Simone is on it, and she is awesome, and right now Wonder Woman is awesome, and seeing Wonder Woman written awesome is awesome, because she gets mishandled pretty bad at times. Seriously, I have a hard time thinking of a book she's done that I haven't enjoyed while she had it.

Yeah? My Booster Gold reading is pretty sporadic sometimes. I was doing trades until I switched to pulls, and I've missed some issues.

Okay, definitely going to have to pull the current Wonder Woman issues if they're as good as her Blackest Night mini.

They are not as good as her Blackest Night mini.

They are better.

(They are not better than Blackest Night as a whole, just better than the WW BN Mini.)

I do not care for the artwork in the standard Transformers comic at the moment, though I care for it more than I have in the recent past. (is the art the reason you haven't bought the core series but got both of the spin-off miniseries?) The story is growing on me, though. I'm trying to accept a handwave that the Autobots would just put these devices on them without so much as a scan or something to ensure that the humans are not just being a bunch of asshats.

Optimus essentially has resigned and surrendered because he considers himself no longer fit to lead because he agreed to Hot Rod going on some rescue mission which, well, went bad.

Blackest Night has been interesting, but I think it is prone to Gorn a little too much. Though I love who gets the extra Orange Ring in #6. :D

Actually, I still pull all of the Transformers comics. DE's the one who reads them, though. I just opened those up to read because Charles said Last Stand looked interesting, and the concept of a Bumblebee series tickled my fancy.

Motormaster and Dead End cameo in issue 3. Swindle has a speaking line in issue 2 and in issue 3 he says nothing but still manages to crack me up.
