I am seriously reconsidering my policy of never friends-locking a journal entry. I always figured that if I had anything to say specifically about someone on my flist, it would be something that I needed to get in the air.

As per your query, probably there *is* no way to resolve that dilemma, 'cause if you tell them about the ego-killy then they will almost undoubtedly try to spare your feelings from then on...unless the reason why it's like being nutted is that the person is being *too* hard on you, but that's not what this sounds like.

Gah, I have this problem with me ma...I respect her writing abilities vastly, so when she starts ripping (albeit in a constructive, English-teachery way) into my original fic it's very hard to accept the crit without throwing a little-brat crying fit into the process.

In other news: OMFGBBQ Drag Strip fic squee! May I snoop at once it's done? (And with that in mind, *wanders off to review second and third bits of "All Fall Down".)
