I liked this, but I think I needed to pay more attention to what was happening.

Also, cagematch, Vetinari and Long Feng. Wanna see.

I swear, what is with me not having replied to comments?

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

You know, as much as I love Long Feng, Vetinari would probably win a political game. Because, dude, Vetinari.

I found How incredibly likable in this. He was so genuine, so wanted to do what was right, and so had a hard time keeping hold of his temper but was just sensible enough to do it (most of the time). What I really loved about this story, though, was the sense that there was a lot of interesting, complex stuff that was happening that How just didn't have enough information to figure out. How really is a good man. He's probably a better man than Hyo in some ways, because Hyo compromises his morals for Long Feng.

Heh. How was actually specifically chosen as the point-of-view character because if I went with someone more in the know, the story would have been even longer. How sees just enough to piece together the overall plot of what's going on and show it to the reader.

7 and 8 will probably be covered at some time in the future. #8 is actually the focus of the next big Dai Li fic whenever I get around to writing it.
