It is debatable, but cute little fluffy domesticity between Ozai and Ursa makes this forgiveable.

Ozai being a bookworm and completely clueless with women pleases me, and reminds me so much of Zuko.

Yeah, Ozai really did need an arranged marriage. I think Kazai also had to be the one who approached Ozai; it took him a long time to learn how to read attraction and respond well to it.

It's going to be fascinating for Ursa when Ozai comes back from looking for the Avatar, because he's going to have changed significantly in his goals during those five years. He's still very early twenties right now, and not quite sure of what he wants to do with himself.

When he comes back, he knows exactly what he wants, and he's going to set about arranging for it.

*cuddles Ursa* She enjoyed that, she did. It's nice to know her fiance isn't uninterested and nicer still to get the kind of fashionable clothing she's going to need.

It's just... refreshing to see him as young and inexperienced and just... cute. Very cute. And yes, Kazai probably had to. What a rush that would be to be the 'man' and teach the crown prince about sex and romance.

I think Ursa sees a lot of potential in Ozai and she LIKES/LUSTS after him rather than loves him? And when he comes back, he's more knowing or who and what he is. Then it becomes love on her side?

Ursa likes fashion, she does. *Pets her.* Her family in my brain was really too practical for fancy fashions. Besides, the locals of Ember Island don't dress up nearly as much as the guests so it was okay for Ember Island. Just show a lot of waist, curve of breast and hip, and all is well.

Kazai did enjoy that very much. His entire affair with Ozai he regards with a certain fondness. I am inclined to think he did use it a little for some 'climbing, but I don't think he was evil about it. Just, hey, he's the prince's lover, why not?

Yeah, that sounds about right. At this point, she barely knows him, and they're both very young. Then he pretty much goes away for the next five years shortly after the wedding, and they write each other a lot.

Not sure if it's that she likes fashion or she stays fashionable so people don't have an excuse to shun her. She's a merchant's daughter in a world of nobles, so fitting in is definitely high on her list of priorities.
