I picked up several Harlequin category romance novels this last week. They are quick reads and usually enjoyable. They also have the most delightfully cracktastic titles ever. "Ruthless Tycoon, Inexperienced Mistress". "Pirate Tycoon, Secret Baby". "One Night with the Rebel Billionaire". "Sheikh Boss, Hot Desert Nights

Wait, does that mean there's a ruthless tycoon and he has an inexperienced mistress, or that the inexperienced mistress is also a ruthless tycoon?

....now that one I would read. *has a strong preference for Regencies, which don't follow the Formula quite so strongly as newer Harlequins*

And believe me. There are worse titles out there.

I dunno why she'd be a mistress _and_ tycoon though. Maybe it's part of a merger deal.

Octane stared out at the vast sprawl of his refinery complex in West Iacon, smirking. As the war heated up, so did his war-profiteering on energon. His thoughts were interrupted by the buzz of his comm.

// Octane, you busy? // His fellow triple-changer Blitzwing scowled at him. // If so, make some time. I'm sending over someone you gotta meet--real up-and-comer. //

// Right. Blitzwing, do you know how hard we're pushing production here? I don't have time to meet every factory-fresh who thinks he has a bright idea-- // Octane replied-- only to be interrupted again by his outer door alarm chiming.

Blitzwing chuckled. // Bet that's him now. He ain't no factory fresh, neither-- // Octane cut him off, one white finger pressing the button hard. He was going to have to see this idiot, whoever he was, to stop Blitzwing badgering him. Another button press unlatched the gates.

"Come in," he said as the inner gate opened, then glanced up--and froze. A red, white and blue Seeker, bright and shiny as if fresh off the factory floor swaggered
