[Star Wars Fic] Life is Beautiful

On a random note, I've noticed that both of the recent stories I've written have been vastly improved by my beta-reader telling me to go back and rewrite the ending.

OMG a Rex/Ahsoka pairing!?...I'm strangely drawn to this...This was incredibly touching and powerful. I loved how she handled his passing, and how he helped her to move on. I have to say this was so beautiful, if not haunting.

Though I'm now curious to know at what point did they fall in love? When did she cease to be his student and friend and became his lover/wife? If you're ever inspired I'd love to read more about these two hehe

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Her grief actually haunted me until I wrote it down. I kind of love it when stories do that, but it's exhausting.

Writing where they crossed from friends to lovers is definitely on my to-do list, but I don't feel I can tackle it at all until I've got a better idea of where the canon is taking Ahsoka. Might even wind up waiting until after the series is over, but that depends on what inspires me.

Powerful imagery. I liked the tomb and the sense of difference between her and Rex's abilities, but especially how they two came to be complementary enough to live their lives together.

Thank you!

I'd really like to do more with both of them alive to better show how complementary they are, but without the immediate emotional impetus that was driving this story, I feel like I need a better idea of where the canon is taking Ahsoka to actually tackle that subject.

I thought you did an excellent job with this. I really liked that she wanted to follow him but was turned back. Bu Anakin perhaps?

Well done.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I'm not going to say who it was that turned her back. Someone certainly did, and Anakin is certainly dead enough by this time to have done so... ;-)
