- Hope everyone enjoyed their yuletide celebrations. Mine went okay - they were quiet and I was gifted with an large amount of DVDs, book tokens and cash for the 'NZ or Bust' fund. Oh and new jammies. All in all, it was good. The rest of the family were happy with the presents I gave them... even though SU#2 and the FBU have decided to go to ( Read more... )

David Tennant has the most amazing puppy dog eyes!

They are always so wide. I was saying to hubby about them and wondering if he holds them open wide most of the time or whether he wears contacts that are slightly larger.

I have to say that I'm glad that his new companion won't be the Christmas one - too much of her would drive me mad (well madder than I already am).

Agreed on the Doctor Who front. It was good. I got myself Season 2 as a Christmas present to myself but have only managed to watch the Christmas special from last year so far - still, wonderful stuff.

Fleming is an excellent writer. I'm rereading at the moment - although I can't remember which order the books come in so am going all over the place, having read Goldfinger and am now on Moonraker, but I think I should have read Live and Let Die as a follow-up to Casino Royale. Anyway it doesn't really matter. I recommend them all, though they're very much of their time in terms of racism and feminism. If you want to borrow any, I can post them to you before I go off travelling? I have all the Flemings and quite a few of the follow-ups (John Gardner's are good, Raymond Benson's all right). Let me know!
