- Hope everyone enjoyed their yuletide celebrations. Mine went okay - they were quiet and I was gifted with an large amount of DVDs, book tokens and cash for the 'NZ or Bust' fund. They are always so wide. I was saying to hubby about them and wondering if he holds them open wide most of the time or whether he wears contacts that are slightly larger.
I have to say that I'm glad that his new companion won't be the Christmas one - too much of her would drive me mad (well madder than I already am).

Fleming is an excellent writer. I'm rereading at the moment - although I can't remember which order the books come in so am going all over the place, having read Goldfinger and am now on Moonraker, but I think I should have read Live and Let Die as a follow-up to Casino Royale. Anyway it doesn't really matter. I recommend them all, though they're very much of their time in terms of racism and feminism. If you want to borrow any, I can post them to you before I go off travelling? I have all the Flemings and quite a few of the follow-ups (John Gardner's are good, Raymond Benson's all right). Let me know!
