Just saw this!!! YESYESYESYESYES!!!!

I saw TOS first run. :-) I was *very* worried about this one, and had stayed completely away from the spoilers, but it sucked me in and sold me even as I was saying, "That's not right! That's not what happened! Oops! I see what you did thar." :-)

And YES! He did Kirk as *Kirk* and left out the Shatner bits that only Shatner can pull off. McCOY! Oh, McCoy, you were perfect! And Spock! Yes! His "fuck you" "live long and prosper" was dead perfect. :-) Sulu!!! HA! Chekov's "I can do that!" LOL!!!! Uhurah! YAY!!! "Is...", "I have no comment..." ROTFLMAO!!! Scotty was a *delight*! He even *looks* a little like James Doohan.

So much love for this film. I missed the dedication, though. :-( Who was it to?

The dedication (right at the end of the credits) is to both Gene Roddenberry and Majel Barratt-Roddenberry. Which was very welcome and very fitting.

The whole thing worked wonderfully and I want to see it again leik now! But I have to be an adult. Woe.

Sister Unit #3 saw it last night and she loved it too - she's not a Trekkie but if she's getting it, Abrams did good!
