Ok, one thing that's been bothering me a lot lately is the majority of the mainstream press coverage of X Japan's debut in America.
This article in particular has so many things wrong with it I'm surprised anyone let it be published.

2. 14!!!!14!!!!! NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16 Goes to X concerts! sure come peps have grown up listening to X but seriously! X's fanbase is mostly 18 and up!
That interviewer needs to do better research! they are the one thats out of touch not XJapan!

Truth be told, Japan ADAPTS ideas and EXPANDS on them to different forms/ways/levels which makes them innovative in a different aspect.

What bothers me whenever any sort of western news source gets a hold of interviewing Asian, or Japanese if you wanna get specific, artists is that they are either patronizing and belittling (to the women) or mocking and dismissive (to the men). It's kind of disgusting, if you consider the history in America towards people of Asian descent and laws that were in place against immigrants from those countries/illegally detaining them/treating them like slaves or dirt or less than human. It really sickens me that these sentiments still exist in "joke form" to this day, and if you try to call someone out on it they wonder what your problem is. Oh, I don't know, maybe I'm not comfortable watching people treat Asians like they're some kind of alien race occupying the goddamn planet...
