Okay, so I've been wanting to go to Lollapalooza for several years now, but it never worked out. But this year I'm going no matter what.

BECAUSE YOSHIKI OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED THAT X JAPAN ACCEPTED THE OFFER TO PLAY THERE THIS YEAR!!!!

How so? o.o Personally I think it's a great idea because a) no anime convention tie-ins (not that I have a problem with that, but much of the Jrock fanbase seems rather elitist about that kind of stuff), b) lots of exposure (especially since they're supposed to be playing the main stage), and c) a lot of people will be there anyway for other bands and might decide to check out X Japan, and hopefully they'll become fans. <3

I'm going to wait for official word from their management. I don't want to book stuff and then find out they won't be there. =/ But it would be totally awesome to see them live in the US. I don't know if I could handle that kind of music event though - I've never been to a music fest like event before.
