I'm not quite sure what story it is that you're looking for, however, you might have a little more success with a search for it at stargate_search (a community specifically aimed towards finding lost stories).

I did but I didn't find it. I'm hoping that someone on SGA Story Finders will recognize it. I'm not sure I found it via Crossroads or if I just happened upon it somewhere else.
