Status update: Still crazypants and emo. Spent two hours at the local zoo this time and am too tired to be properly emopants. MY FEET HURT.

Like, Arashi's getting to the point in the show where I think they're more comfortable, because there's more focus on their banter and stuff, with and without the guest. So I've got hopes for this show yet! (And also, because Oguri Shun was a guest recently like alsdkjalskghalskdj YESSSS.)

SHUN BEING A GUEST ON THE SHOW IS WHAT MADE ME PICK IT UP IN THE FIRST PLACE AHHHHH I NEED SUBS FOR IT NOW. I watched about half of it raw (and, wow, my comprehension is crap these days) and HOLY CRAP MATSUMOTO'S BEAMING FACE IS AMAZING.

I haven't seen it yet, I've only seen the clips of them wearing glasses, but it looks pretty epic. I mean, how can it not be?!
But in general, the guests have been getting funnier/wackier, so I think it'll do well. I feel like it's just an upgraded AnS, really, 'cause the format's not all that different ('cept for minus Ogu-san :((( )
Himitsu has picked up for me lately, 'cause it feels like they actually know what they're doing now instead of doing the stupid video-watching segments. I enjoy most of the VIP room guests, and there are segments like Mannequin 5 & Mote-Dame Arashi I actually look forward to.

I am really, really looking forward to the discussion of what each of them like in girls. Matsumoto is an ass man, BIG SURPRISE REALLY. I'm also really glad to hear that it's like an upgraded version of Shukudai-kun because I think that format worked really well for them! I'm sad that they can't talk about late night type of stuff as much, but it's not like Aiba hasn't been bringing at least SOME of the perv.
Really? Himitsu's finally found its groove for you? That is really excellent to hear! ♥

Also, Arashi is indeed on fire! I have not watched Natsu Niji past its first episode, but I plan to correct that, uh, soon...
I actually haven't watched the beginning AnShi episodes! I have no HD space whatsoever! But I really want to watch Shimura Ken's episode, so maybe I'll hop to that soon too. I'm glad you seem to be warming up to it. Arashi really does need some time to settle in this show, but there's so much potential in it.
Have you listened to their recent album? They're heading towards electropop now. Jun's solo kind of reminds me of Yabaix3... and Aiba's solo made me laugh and boggle. Like, what? LOL. But then, I always like his live solos so much more, so I will need to watch him perform it ASAP.
Also, something you need to watch ASAP: Ohoku's 2-minute trailer. This is for Nino in a chonmage just as much as for the INCREDIBLY HOT AND INCREDIBLY ABUNDANT men present! Tamaki Hiroshi as the ( ... )

I think I just need to remember that I don't have to comment on absolutely everything I watch. That sometimes I can just watch a show and not have to have any epic thoughts about it or catalogue all the little Aiba/Jun moments for future reference. There's enough of them now that I can just save it for the really big moments or I can do a general thoughts post if I really want. THIS IS ACTUALLY A REVELATION FOR ME ( ... )

REVELATIONS ARE GOOD. It is never too late! Yeah, I kind of get what you mean too - flailing about every little thing gets kind of tiring after a bit, no matter how much you want to do it. And fandom isn't supposed to feel like a chore :<
WAS THE SHUN EPISODE NOT EPIC? I swear to god I laughed the entire way through. Jun's adoring looks were so beautiful, and I hope you got the other little translations I posted way back on your comment because they were SO Shun/Jun friendship/fanboyship/etc. And their talk about their fetishes - Shun just takes every and all questions seriously, giving it due thought! And Jun getting up to demonstrate what he meant by curves on the ass - oh man, I think I cried. Trust Nino and Jun to be the ass people ( ... )

I did! a;sdlkfjas;lkj you got me to watch the first half, but my comprehension was so low (after so long away from raws without subtitles) that I had to give up and save it for when the subs came out. (Also, I was a baby and wanted prettier quality than the first file that was floating around.) Because oh, man, Jun's beaming face and the curves on the ass demonstration and just. SHUN WITH ARASHI. I WANT IT FOREVER.
I'm kind of curious about the manga now, too! But mostly I just really want the movie. It looks so lush and beautiful and it has Tamaki Hiroshi in it. In a beautiful role! I HAVE ( ... )

also, I watched the first three episodes of The Middle and Cougar Town this week. OH GOSH THE LITTLE KID IN THE MIDDLE HAS THE CUTEST VOICE EVER! it's also very funny. Cougar Town is also funny, but in the more sexual-implication context, but i'm not complaining because the guys are HOT. :))
and I still have to watch the new Ookami episode. :\

And a;sldkfjas;lkjalskj IT NEEDS TO GET SUBBED SOON. I AM CLAWING AT THE WALLS HERE. ;___;
OMG I AM SO EXCITED THAT YOU LIKED THE MIDDLE AND COUGAR TOWN. I think they both take about seven episodes to really get going, but I'm hoping they'll stick with you. I love Brick in The Middle, because not a lot of child actors could pull that role off, but he does it amazingly well. All the kids are great in that show, really.
I've gotten so behind on this anime season, I'm beginning to despair a bit. But TV is so good right now--!!

HE'S AMAZING! So, that's his name! I can totally see what you mean about the actor. he does it really well! he feels creepy, funny, and adorable all at the same time!
I've watched Ookami episode 6 now. it's not that interesting but it gives a nice background to Ringo and Ookami. :D

I was sure I was hearing it wrong for the longest time, but I guess the idea was that they gave their kids "cool" names in the hopes that their kids would turn out to be cool? (I read that on a review site somewhere, so I'm not entirely sure.) Which made me laugh and laugh and laugh. Because I love Frankie and Mike kind of ridiculously.
I don't have super high expectations for Ookami-san, but I'll be happy as long as it continues to be a cute little show! ♥

Shiyagare's still a little hit-and-miss for me; it really depends on the guest and their lessons. My favourites so far have to be Shimura Ken, Kabuki-guy (whose name I really should remember by now), Tutorial and the recent Matsuko DELUXE episode.
T-To be honest, I'm not that into the Oguri Shun episode. *ducks knives* I think I went in there with really high expectations- OMG OGURI SHUN WITH ARASHI OMG OGURI SHUN AND JUN OMG OGURI SHUN -and then it came out a little flat for me. XD; The talk portions were fantastic, with the reveal of Jun and Shun's initial relationship, and then Shun's perverted little speech, but when it got to the Learn About Part-Time Jobs bit... idk. I feel like it could've been much more interesting. *sheepish* It picked up when Ohno and Aiba did the "Encounter the unknown" segment, but watching ( ... )

I admit, I only made it halfway through the Shun episode (because my comprehension is nil lately, since I've gotten out of the habit of raws) but I'm so hyped on him right now (I can't even say why, other than that he seems like kind of a fruit loop and I LOVE THE FRUIT LOOPS OKAY) that I could very well be happy just staring at him reading the phone book. (I suspect Jun agrees with me, given the way he was beaming the whole time.) But I do hear you about expectations for something like that being way too high and not being lived up to.
By the way, did you know that Nino whined on his radio show that people need to realize Jun's not the only ( ... )
