Long post is long. Again.

So, it's been awhile, I know. Too many other things, too much RL crap that has been next to impossible to deal with, too little energy, etc. But I swore to myself that I was going to get on this pile of subs I have waiting and seeing princess_dexter fall for Arashi re-motivated me to just do it already. Which means! Spoilers for anything listed ( Read more... )

i LOVE your Arashi reviews, especially AnS, because it lets me know what i should bother to download!

the maid outfits and the coffee jumping, and Ohno telling Jun he was cute just CRACKED ME UP SO HARD.

it wouldnt surprise me in the LEAST if half the boys were secretly married, but really, besides Ohno, who's crazy enough to want to put up with Nino?

Shukudai-kun and VS ARASHI are kind of a safe bet these days, they are almost always A++++ entertainment in the way they're supposed to be. Naturally, I take two months off while Arashi is at the top of their game. Of course.

I love that all this crazy is just ANOTHER DAY FOR THEM, like it's just a drop in the bucket of the rainbow-exploding-awesome that Arashi is when Ohno looks over and says Jun is cute in the maid headband.

I know I'll cry into my bucket of ice cream the day any of them announce their marriage, but hopefully it'll be someone awesome. I mean, I would totally ship Nino/misono for a quarter, I think he'd love her for not being the typical sort of Japanese girl. ♥♥♥

VS is my favorite. I love watching them play extremely stupid games! And I often like AnS, but there are SO MANY SHOWS that I have to prioritize. So i tend to wait and see if anybody talks about them or tells me i need to watch certain episodes, and then I download those. I dont watch much HnA because there dont tend to be many subs available that i can find.

i think ill probably be bother flabbergasted and gleeful when any of them are allowed to tell us about their relationships.

..unless it's Sho, in which case, I will cry. a lot.

misono is adorable! im going to have to look her up, because i have no idea who she is.

VS ARASHI is the best one to watch raw (though I think angel_devils has done a lot of them) because you don't really need subs to understand it, while Himitsu... I love the show, but it is REALLY hit or miss. It's gone through so many evolutions that I'm not sure what it's even supposed to be anymore. And Himitsu subs are pretty spotty, yeah, which I can't blame fandom for because I wouldn't want to sub a lot of the "miss" stuff, either.

I-- I think I'll be okay with Sho's relationship. If only because then he'll get to have a BAAAAABY OF HIS OWN and the thought of Sho getting a BAAAAAABY OF HIS OWN makes my ovaries want to explode. *___*

I've never heard of her either! But hopefully she's been in some dramas to watch!

Nobody does amazing flail the way you do. I wish you could visit my head when I watch awesome stuff. That sounds totally creepy but I'm not one!

Nobody does word vomit like me, either, apparently. XD But I'm glad to entertain, though, you should probably be glad that I'm not in your head. I'd leave such a sticky mess behind me when I was done. :<

ILU FOREVER.

I can't wait for when you watch the other two recent awesome Himitsus. Because the one before the one you watched was the first Mannequin Five, and it was SO GREAT. In that one, they let the guys who weren't picked each round change their outfits a little, so there's a lot of WELL MAYBE THIS WILL BE BETTER!?

fdkjfh so great.

NOT AS MUCH AS ILU

;askldjfl;askj shit now I'm torn between watching more Himitsu, because I really like the whole Mannequin Five thing, and trying to watch a little VSA because I love that show, too.

Well. I think everyone knows I'm weak to bitching between poses, so I'll probably go with Himitsu. YOU ARE AN ENCOURAGING HOFCE. >:|

I think I should put that on my resume on my list of skills: "Professional Enabler."

Right under "pornhound." :Db

I think you also need an entire separate entry for "Professional Porn Enabler" as well, because you totally are. :|

Nino could also be Linux or something--only the super nerdy crowd really understands it. I do like Aiba as Windows 98, though. Not bad, I loved that platform, but XP really outdid it. as;dlkfja;slkj I love this conversation with my whole heart.

Sometimes I stop to wonder if it's just me, because obviously I'm looking for Aiba/Jun moments. Except, they have REALLY been touchy feely lately, haven't they? To the point where it's kind of getting to be... idk, I wouldn't put them on Ohmiya's level just yet or anything, but....

I firmly, firmly believe that Sho is deliberately setting himself up as the guy who loses, because I don't get that sense of crushing awkwardness from him that I would get from the others. He seems to be clearly having a ball with it. But I might feel different if he were my darling baby, so I'm not trying to come off as dismissive. *pets* But I do think that, if it really bothered him, they'd stop, you know?

I sometimes get kind of hesitant over assuming the Aiba/Jun connection because they don't really say much about it, whereas Ohmiya says stuff about it a lot. On the other hand, that kind of ramps up my tinhat detector all the more because Japanese people rarely comment on the stuff that's real and alsdkjfalskj I need to just chill out and enjoy the fanservice. XD (Which I do. But I can't help thinking these things sometimes.)

I don't know Sho as well as you do, but I do remember having this conversation before, when he was failing a lot on VSA (which I assume still continues?) and I keep thinking that, if it was really bothering him, they would notice and stop, especially if it's been this long. I think the amusement of it comes from knowing that Sho is actually really amazing and they make fun of him because he can take it. For a long time they didn't make fun of Jun that much (or so it felt to me) because he probably couldn't have taken it. But now that he's more secure with himself? They mock him more and more. So that's ( ... )

Oh man, I only skimmed these (I'm still unsure as to what I'll be downloading, so I don't want to spoil myself) but LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL AT EVERYTHING.

And while I'm on the topic, are there any episodes of any of their shows that are must-sees? I've seen only the first ep of VSA in its entirety, and the rest of the stuff I've seen have been subbed clips on youtube. (The ones where they have to draw are amazing OH SHO YOU ARE SO BAD AT DRAWING!!!) I was planning on getting VSA in order but I'd much prefer to get the good stuff first and then fill in the holes with the rest later.

I'm still kind of learning what all their personalities are like, but it kind of feels like I've known them forever. Argh, Arashi fandom, why am I one of you now!?!?!?!?!?

WHY MUST YOU MAKE A COMMENT LIKE THIS? I've been meaning to put together a list of recommended episodes from various shows (though, I find a good tip is usually to just watch the latest subs of Shukudai-kun and VS ARASHI, the better episodes are the ones that get the subs) and this has kind of motivated me again. orz

I will also mention that ANY GIVEN SHOW starts off kind of slow in the first several episodes, but the later ones are better. Though, anything where Sho tries to draw is A+++ and I'm reasonably fond of pretty much EVERYTHING in D no Arashi and I'd skip at least the first six or seven episodes of VS ARASHI (it was really awkward at first) and then you can watch in order.

....yeah, I'll start working on a better list of recommendations for you, ones without spoilers. *weak glare*

OH OH OH OH I KNOW. THE BOAT CLUB SAGA. That's a great place for any Arashi fan to start, it was a series of episodes of Mago Mago Arashi, I believe taijiprojectsub was the one who did them? It's slightly older, but it's a great place to start for a ( ... )
