This cosplay episode of Shukudai-kun totally deserves its own post.
The first half of this episode is actually kind of slow, whether because I was so excited about the cosplay part or just because it wasn't that interesting without understanding what was going on, I'm not sure. (Especially after spending so long staring at the clubbox download to just hurry up already. Though, you can find Arashi no Shukudai-kun #52 here, I believe.) But the second half (well, mostly the last third or so) is so incredibly worth it. I had to take way, way too many caps, but...asd;fklajsdlkjas SAKURAI SHOKO, FROM A MAID CAFE IN AKIHABARA?
I was literally crying by the end of the episode. (50+ caps here, but they're all thumbnailed. M-most of them are of Sho, okay? H-he makes the best expressions, OKAY?)
Also, I would like to point out that the focus on Sho's very nice legs is not my fault, that was all the Shukudai-kun staff right there. This also isn't coherent at all, I was too busy shrieking for that.
I didn't take very many caps of the first half of the episode, mostly just ones of Aiba and/or Jun that I thought were pretty (seriously, Jun bending over a table always needs capping <3) or the ones with the Evangelion stuff, nothing really worth spazflailing too hard over.
God knows why I took a bunch anyway. Mostly I like the way Jun stands around. <3
BUT THEN. COSPLAY OUTFITS.
And naturally Nino hands Aiba the most hilarious outfit in the bunch (which is usually reserved for Jun, but with Jun's new added weight, Nino might be thinking twice about teasing him? XDDD) but Aiba doesn't actually get to wear anything outrageous. As much as I know he likes wearing the batshit stuff with more punch to it, I kind of love the idea of Aiba being the one dressed relatively sanely for the cosplay episodes. It would be a great running gag.
The segment gets off to an awesome start with Aiba and Nino acting out a skit, I assume it's some sort of creepy boss being inappropriate with his office lady employee, especially since Aiba's hands started wandering to apparently interesting places.
The best thing was that he called Nino "Kazuko-kun" and I was seriously dying.
AND THEN IT WAS MATSUJUN'S TURN.
I... I'm not sure exactly what he's dressed up as. A nurse, maybe? I'd seen preview caps/clips, so I knew how he was going to be dressed, which made me really laugh when he took FOR-FUCKING-EVER to come out after being introduced (I think they all took awhile to come out, though?) because he just looks SO THRILLED REALLY to be in this outfit.
And then he says his cute little line with his cute little hand gesture in this cute little voice and then fucking skips over to the rest of the group and you can tell he is still TOTALLY THRILLED REALLY and not at ALL going to kill someone very dead for all of this.
I also love that, when he gets there, I think he's bitching about the skirt or something, readjusting it, and so how do the others react?
Ogu-san stares politely and resolutely at the floor or straight ahead.
Nino looks straight ahead with a bored look.
Aiba? Aiba stares right at the area Jun's talking about.
asdf;lkajsdflkjasd I LOVE YOU, AIBA.
Next, Ohno's turn! I had no idea what he was supposed to be until watching the episode and he was introduced as BRUCE LEE OH MY GOD I WAS CRYING, YOU GUYS.
Especially as Ohno does the introduction and then asd;lfkjas;dlalsk he doesn't do it very well so he just sort of wilts and shuffles over to the others and I was crying again.
I guess they scold him for a little bit, but.
THEN IT IS SHO'S TURN.
You can totally see the laughter on Ohno's face just before Sho comes out and, god, I love a band that laughs at their members being forced into dresses. *loves so hard*
SAKURAI SHOKO from a maid cafe in Akihabara (which I'm just guessing at, with what little I can piece together from words I recognize and what I know of their batshit popculture) and he's such an amazing sport about it, he says his cute little line, DOES A FUCKING CURTSY and makes some of the most AWESOME EXPRESSIONS EVER.
He's all flouncy across the stage while the rest of Arashi collectively tries to keep their dignity and Nino finally just breaks and puts his face in his hands with a muffled laugh and, "Kimochi warui".
It's like. Sho's expression is clearly: I HAVE DIGNITY EVEN IN A MAID'S UNIFORM, YOU FUCKERS. *HAUGHTY* and it's so great.
ALSO, JUN TOTALLY GIVES SHO THIS LOOK IN THE OUTFIT HE'S WEARING AND ASD:LKAJSDALKJ WHY THE LINGERING CLOSEUP AS JUN STARES RATHER INTENTLY AT SHO, YOU GUYS?
I... I would read that fic. Sho/Jun cosplay antics, yes, plz. *__*<3
ALSO, SOON THERE WILL BE ANOTHER ODOROKI SP AND AIBA AND JUN WEIGHTLESS IN THE PLANE IT'S LIKE JAPAN KIND OF LOVES ME AGAIN.
ALSO, MORE BOATS CROSSING THE BAY. IT'S LIKE THEY'RE NOT GOING TO STOP UNTIL THEY FINALLY MAKE IT IN SOMETHING.
