So, this is my very first attempt at Supernatural fic, and if you have any guidance to offer, it would be much appreciated 'cuz new fandoms are scary and stuff. I'll unlock this post and probably crosspost later, but for right now I just want to share with a small segment of the internet ( Read more... )

hmm.. i'm not familiar with the characters or anything but it's very well written. gah the space between is so abrupt; i feel like something is missing or hidden... or maybe i just want to read more ^.^

There was a lot of abruptness to this story, both in the narrative and in the execution. It all came together in little bits and pieces. But wanting more is good. :)

This had a weird tone, but in a good way. Incompleteness, but intentionally so, as if the half-assed handjob set the pace--all buildup, and a conclusion that wasn't what Dean would have liked. It's good. I definitely like the bit about having to impress Sammy, hints of their relationship. Welcome to the fandom, darling!

Thanks for the kind words and the welcome! (Although I haven't been doing much in any fandom the past couple of months.) I need to get back to Sam and Dean sometime. Other than squeeing with ciaan, that is.

The tone was nice, seemed suiting to Dean, from what little I know of him. The paragraph on what would happen if the game went wrong seemed incomplete, but that may be excusable since you're writing for a fandom who knows perfectly well all of the backstory, so it might just be my own ignorance speaking.

Dean shucked off his sticky jeans and climbed into bed beside his brother. Baby Jesus loves you for that sentence.

Well, I still like it, because it has Dean being little and cute and dumb. And I totally think you should post it places.

nothing to make him see why covering for Dean was always worth the risk

Did I mention that I like that line especially? Hee heeeee. Right after the one quoted above.

Covering for Dean is a lifelong profession, obviously, and Sam was indoctrinated young.
