I'm just really into this particular one right now, and possibly forever. I am both looking forward to and dreading the next movies because of all this.

You know, I think about this all the time. How Ultron will affect all the fic coming out, and I kind of dread that because of Joss being Joss and I'm so afraid he's going to ruin everything, but I do have faith in the Russos…but the trajectory of those stories will have an impact, no matter what happens. And right now I'm just loving all the variations on Steve and Bucky's stories, and the relationships, and just everything. As much as I want more, I'm also afraid of how it will affect the fanworks.

Yes, pretty much exactly that. As much as I want to see the next movies, and as much as I hope that Cap 3 will reunite them, it makes me nervous, too. And like you, I am very much enjoying the multiple post-Cap 2 stories and worry that the new movies will close the canon down too much. Or worse, depress the fandom too much.
