Friend away! And can I let you in on a secret? I always post on my personal LJ first, just so you know.

Ah, Bec I love your angst. You could practically feel the need in both of them, but also the refusal to give in first. Painful and gut-wrencing and I love it.

*sighs*

You know when you write this stuff and you stop to ask yourself if you've mosted from "Angst" territory into "wAngst" territory? I was totally walking that line with this whole chapter. I swear to god it's going to kill me.

Yeah, I don't even know what "mosted" is. That's meant to read "moved". Whatever. It's 1am here.

Didn't seem remotely like wank to me, for what it's worth. Ungodly angsty, yes--but not unreasonably so. It would be too facile and convenient for Kara's dysfunctions or Lee's frustrations to be cleared up in one chapter (IMHO of course...).

And I really loved the narrative back and forth between Kara's internal monologue and Lee's verbalized intentions/frustrations. Even in their attempts to reach out to each other, they are both still self-absorbed to do each other any permanent good/change.

The cliffhanger though? Pure evil.

Miscommunication is the name of the game and the bitch of that is that there's no real way to get that across without doing th hard yards and actually drawing it out in plain language. They aren't on the same page. What they want is the same thing but they just can't seem to get their act together. I, personally, love that sort of Punch and Judy moment when everyone's pointing at the stage screaming "Behind you!!!!". Lee and Kara really just need to open their frakking eyes and they might get a clue. Of course, I'm having too much fun drawing it out. So I'm sure you won't mind waiting a little longer.

Cliffhanger?

I didn't notice a cliffhanger.

Haha! That's a brilliant way of putting. I'm a complete sucker for that kind of angst-through-miscommunication too.

And yes, PLEASE: draw it out as long as you can stand. (by simple angst!math calculations it becomes clear that drawn out=more chapters=GOOD)

There's so much to love here, but the realism in your handling of sex is the most unusual to be found in fanfiction. This is like watching HBO compared to Network programming. Again, congratulations.

I don't really know the difference between HBO and network. In my country? We have five channels. But I am relieved, to say the least, that I haven't sent people running with the not-fantastic sex.
