I do throw in pockets of fluff to keep you off guard, but I can see where you are coming from. *snerk*

He wants to feel disgust, he wants to feel like he's evened the score for what she's done to him over the years (oh those grudges!) but he can't.

I think you're right. He can't be disgusted with Kara. That's squarely on his own shoulders. He was the instigator of this... and let's face it, even at her drunkest and most embarrassing, he still watched and cared.

Yes, I know. I do. But to be honest I think Lee really is just the product of grief. His kindness, his civility and respect... they're all stuck with the grief that he hasn't yet had the chance to express. Or at least I like to think so.

Absolutely, there is just no way Lee's mind is up to this just yet. He needs to be parked on his arse and had some hard fact explained to him.

Holy Gods this was painful ... as another commenter mentioned "you broke the pilots!"

But that means you get to fix it - in all its fluffy glory ... right?!?!?

Despite the harshness of the chapter, I think all of it was dead-on. Kara and Lee are rarely healthy for one another and that's without the knowledge that Kara might be a Cylon. I think it's going to be hard for Lee to move past this though. I don't think, regardless of Kara being a Cylon or not (which I don't think she is by the way), that he's going to be able to forgive himself for his harsh treatment of her. Regardless of what she is, she is Kara and that means he just - basically - raped his best friend and the supposed love of his life.

Kara is a great forgiver, but it's only because she thinks she doesn't deserve anything good. So when people do nasty things to her, she takes it thinking that it's because she's evil. I don't know how much Lee will get away with - although when you're starving any food seems better than none.

Can't wait for more!

OUCH The pain is not a friend... except in fic where I LOVE IT! The angstier the better and this was so raw. I was literally cringing in my chair reading it.

I really like your idea of Lee and Kara being on opposite sides. A lot of the Season 4 spec I've read has them playing happy families almost as soon as her viper hits the deck.

I'm eagerly looking forward to more angst...

You know, I sort of *aim* to make it as cringe worthy as I can... without pushing it into "Is this girl kidding?!" territory. Mostly the reason i like doing that is that I really want you guys to feel like it was worth it when they finally sort their crap out.

I do hope you post the next part soon. I really want to see Lee processing that this really is Kara or that 'his' Kara is/was a cylon and processing that it dosen't change his feelings (and that it is ok if he has feelings for cylon-Kara ( ... )

Yes, and he does later refer to it as rape… but Kara was willing. If anything, the real hurt came when he *stopped*. But Lee won’t see that.

And I have to say, even with the angry-stupid-rough-not healthy-sex Lee is still doing better then Helo; after all he *shot* Sharon (attempting to kill her) when he found out she was a cylon.

You know, I always thought that was waaay out of Helo’s ballpark. I mean, shooting the mother of his child (twice) aside. Oh and killing a room full of Cylons… he’s a really nice guy.

Yeah, that argument lost steam half way through, didn’t it?

Lee is the only one acting in the opinion that Kara died and the cylons made an impostor duplicate.

Lee isn’t seeing things clearly here. As always I think he’s really seeing what he wants to see. Or seeing the worst. But even Lee can’t stay in the dark on this for long.
