I've always found rotties to be really good with children. Extremely protective and very accepting of things like getting their ears tugged on, toys stolen, et cetera.
My boxers are that way too, very very good with children, especially the little ones and babies.
I honestly don't believe it's the breed of dog thats bad, its the humans that make the breed horrible. Like for example Pittbulls. My friend has them and she has a 6 yr old little girl who lays all over her, and plays with her and pulls on her, and the dog just looks at you like, okay can I be done now? And thats as far as it goes, she is a wonderful dog with the kids.
