Previous Chapters "I know Will, you did good." Becca said kissing his nose. He brightened a little and hugged her to him. Becca broke away first and looked softly at both men. They sighed and walked over to the stairs to head up and do whatever it was they were going to do. Becca waited till she heard the door shut before turning to the door of the dungeon room. Her eyes went almost completely black no color left. The hair on her arms stood on end and if anyone had witnessed it, they would have sworn her fingers crackled with energy. With an evil smile on her face she walked to the door and opened it.
Letting it swing all the way open and thud against the wall Becca stood, back lit from the other room, her body in shadow. Angelus's head snapped up as Becca walked forward and stood before him. Arms at her sides she waited eyes pitch black, nothing showed but an abyss. Angelus realized she didn't even know her eyes were like that, he could feel the anger rolling off her in waves. He shivered and hung his head in submittance as she stepped closer and stopped just before him, close enough to touch.
"What am I going to do with you?" She asked deadly quiet. "I suppose I could let Susan kill you..." Angelus looked up quickly and made eye contact with her briefly, he saw she meant what she said he looked down once more. It gave Becca a certain sense of power to have the glorious, powerful, demon cowed before her. His arms were stretched out above his head just enough to where he had to stand on the balls of his feet. She could see the strain beginning to show in his muscular frame.
"I would but because your Childe and Xander stopped you in time I guess we can skip that." She said matter of fact. Quicker than even Angel could see she pulled a wooden stake out of her back pocket and struck him on the opposite side where his heart would be. The resulting scream made the blood vessels pop in his eyes and let all his weight on his arms, sagging down he sobbed once and was quiet. As quickly as she staked him she ripped out the weapon and wiped it on her pants before inspecting it like a baker would inspect a rolling pin before switching doughs. Without much care at all. She sighed like she was contemplating which cheese to use on her pizza and spoke over Angelus's harsh breathing.
"So because Woody lives Susan won't kill you, although she would love to stand in line," His head slowly came up and met her eyes that seemed to glow even though they were still pitch black. Her arms were crossed across her chest, her left hipped cocked as she brought her hand up to her chin and rested her head on it.
"You see Eric wishes to kill you as well." His eyes widened as he saw the evil smile light her face. If he had been standing next to her and she was torturing someone else he would have been proud, but he was scared because her anger was aimed at him.
"When I became upset so did he, and the only reason you are still here is because I wish it." She said walking even closer and grabbing his chin forcefully in her right hand and jerking his head up, forcing him to meet her eyes. Brown met black as she leaned closer.
"This is your last chance, you mess up once more and I will call Willow." Angelus wanted nothing more to jerk his head out her surprisingly strong grasp and run, but he stayed. He saw a glimmer of hope flash quickly across her face before it was gone and he thought he had imagined it.
"You know I will, and all it will take is some words and herbs and Angel will be back and this time..." She paused making sure she had is undivided attention. "I will have her make it permanent." Angel froze for a moment before speaking for the first time since she entered the basement.
"Yes Mistress." Becca nodded approving and let his chin go.
"Susan will start her punishment after I leave, you have one night to think about what you have done. She has two nights after to do with you as she wishes." She turned and began walking from the room only to stop at the door and look over her shoulder at him.
"If you try to escape or do not comply you will live on rats for one year, while Spike drinks my blood." Angelus shivered and tried not to yell out as Becca shut the door and left him in complete darkness.
Becca got to the top of the stairs before she collapsed stuffing her hand in her mouth to stifle her sobs. She hated this, more than she hated anything. She hated knowing her boy was gonna be punished for what came naturally, but she knew he should have known better. Sobbing into her hands as quietly as she could she sat at the top of the stairs.
She felt him coming before she saw him, she heard the yells of Giles and Wesley whom he startled in the living room as he flashed through. She felt a wind whip across her back as the basement door crashed open and she was engulfed in her Viking's arms, he cradled her to him like a father would cradle his child and held her to him crooning in Old Norse, she didn't understand it, but it soothed none the less. They sat there for a minute when Xander made the mistake of trying to come to her rescue. Eric with her still in his arms turned so quickly you didn't see the process of him moving and growled, fangs fully extended lips curled back, he was seconds away from swooping Becca behind him and grabbing him when Xander held out his hands in supplication.
"Whoa...whoa...." He said slowly and began carefully backing up. "I just came to see if everything is all right..." Eric stopped growling but still showed his fangs as a warning not to step closer to his mate. Becca took his chin in her hands and brought his face to hers.
"It's okay..." Eric started to protest, shook her head.
"Really, I'll be fine, you can put me down." Becca told him wiping her eyes with the backs of her hands. Eric set her down as if she was delicately blown glass not a 6' tall grown woman who had just faced a Master Vampire. He steadied her with his hands she nodded minutely to him and faced Xander.
"It's okay, I'm all right." She smiled trying to assure him, he was far from it but backed off with a look from Eric.
"Okay." He nodded lips compressed holding in whatever he wanted to say. Turning he walked back to where ever it was he rushed from. Becca turned to Eric and he watched as a tear escaped her eyes and fell down her cheek.
"Can we go home now?" She asked voice small and eyes watery. How could he resist?
"I wish I could say yes, but I know how pissed off you'll be later if you don't talk to Susan first and the others." Eric said taking her hand in his much larger one and leading her up the stairs and into the hallway. They could both hear muted voices coming from the living room as Eric shut the door behind them. Becca looked at him a pouting expression on her face.
"I hate it when you're right." She grumbled making Eric laugh softly. He led her to the bathroom down the hall and shut the door behind them. Shutting the lid on the toilet he set her down and walked over to a small cabinet below the sink and pulled out a washrag in varying rainbow colors, he raised an eyebrow at it and shook his head making Becca laugh. Winking at her he wet it in the sink with warm water and wrung it out. Walking over to her he kneeled before her between her knees and began to gently wipe her face. Removing any trace of tears that were left behind. Sitting back seemingly satisfied with his work he tossed the rag in a open hamper and stood taking her hand in his and pulling her to him he whispered in her ear.
"A few more minutes my Goddess and then we can leave." Becca nodded against his chest and sniffled. Leaning back she looked him in the eyes.
"Presentable?" She asked him smiling albeit a little sadly and falsely.
"Always." He said softly and leaned forward kissing her. She sagged into his embrace and let him erase the last few minutes as if they never happened, if only for a few seconds. Breaking apart when she needed air, he ran his hands through her short locks fixing them. She tugged her shirt straight and they left the bathroom hand in hand to face the people in the living room.
When they entered everyone's face swiveled in their direction. Susan stood from her position on the couch between Spike and Xander. She walked towards them and stopped a few feet before them. She quietly asked with her eyes how Becca was. Becca nodded.
"I'm good I just need to go home." Susan nodded back and took Becca's free hand in hers squeezing softly. Becca smiled and almost burst into tears again. But reigning it in she took a deep breath and concentrated on Susan.
"I told him after tonight his punishment starts and you have two days to do whatever you wish, except death." Susan nodded in agreement.
"I also told him that if he doesn't obey you or comply with any of it, he will have to deal with me and live on rats for a year." Susan smiled evilly.
"Good choice." She said not at all upset about the deal. Becca looked away from her to face the others. Looking first to Giles and Wesley she spoke.
"It was nice meeting you, I hope to see you both again soon." They both nodded and smiled at her, although Giles was giving her a weird calculating look. He had sensed an enormous power when she was in the basement, then when Eric showed up it had dissapiered. He would find out what it was. Looking at the others and forgetting Giles for now Becca spoke again.
"Eric and I are leaving so we can spend what remaining time he has left in town together." Everyone smiled and inclined their heads in varying degrees. Becca turned to Eric who gently scooped her up in arms cradling her to his chest once more and flashed out the door in a blur no one could follow.
