Writing Request: Like Pants & Taxes (Star Wars: Han & Chewie)

For were_lemur! Who challenged me to write something in some way inspired by the awesome Star Wars & Pants Game, wherein you replace key words from Star Wars quotes with the word "pants"! This actually isn't a silly story (well, not really, though it might be daft). The first line is a "pantsed" quote, and I took it from there ( Read more... )

Have I mentioned how much your knowledge of the Star wars universe scares me? Not as much as the Dharma & Greg thing though. ;)

Brava! You did an excellent job with a truly cracked-out prompt. (And your line in the explanation about Han having "special pants" just made me giggle, as did the opening line of the fic.) :D

Hurrah! And hey - the cracked-out prompt made it more challenging and that was the point, right? ;)

Besides, EVERYONE needs to know just how "special" Han's pants really are... :p

Also, the prompt reintroduced me to the pants game - which I did know about, but had forgotten. "Aah, it's Han. I really thought he'd change his pants." "I cannot teach this boy. He has no pants."

Awesome!

I enjoyed this. hmpf January 23 2008, 02:50:10 UTC
And the writing is right for this piece, I think - anything 'flashier' would be sort of... 'out of character' for the scene? Anyway, it amused me; it's a vivid little scene, and I like how you turned the cracky prompt into well, *not* crack!fic. *g*

Thanks! I think I agree with you about the flashiness. I say that the writing was functional and felt a little guilty about that, but then again, I think I probably chose to write it that way because it needed to be functional.

Like you, I'm somewhat overpleased with myself for managing to write this as something other than crack!fic and I'm glad it kept you entertained from start to finish which was really all I was going for. :)
