Thank you! The show itself is stunningly gorgeous, the song just sort of made it all come together.

Yes!Yes!Yes! - The first Sleepy Hollow Vid (at least on my radar) and it's pretty much perfect. It's a phantastic summary of all that's good about the show without the OTT, silliness and WTF. All the emotional moments, and the dramatic moments, and the relationships, and stunning images. The music elevates the show to 'profound' for 3 and a half minutes. I love this!

On the tech front - wow, what crisp, shiney quality! What did you use as source? HD mkv? *grabby hands*

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like it! And yeah, even though I sometimes have a weakness for those cheesy moments (because they make the horror easier to deal with) or those WTF moments (because lolzzzz), I really wanted to bring out well, this, the core of the show, with this vid. This beautiful, creepy, visually stunning show.

Thank you so much for letting me know you liked it!

On the tech front, yeah, I used HD mkv (though I had to swap the container to mp4 to get my vidding program to read it and even then, it's not as easy/smooth as vidding smaller source so it was slower than usual so THANK YOU FOR NOTICING!).

I also did some minor colour correction. Just a tiny bit because lots of the footage was so dark that properly correct the blacks to true black meant half of it came out as unwatchable. Then I also increased the saturation just a tiny bit because the colours had started looking a bit washed out. Then I worried that the pixelation this introduced wasn't worth it, but ultimately decided I liked how it ( ... )

Awww, thanks dude! It's such an awesome song, and I was really happy with the way it came together visually in the end. I wanted to make sure the creepy-gorgeous-creepy imagery had its due. It's super gratifying to hear that it did.

(And yes, thanks for the reminder; I always mean to post stuff on tumblr and then feel weird about it and then um and ah about it and then finally do it, so, um, yes, it is now on tumblr! I have an account there under the same name.)
