WOW! This vid is amazing. The way it builds is like a juggernaut to an inevitable conclusion. And it's gorgeous all the way through, with the flashing fades and cuts and the timing is just impecable.

I really want to see the source now. I mean, I did before, too, when you talked about the story, but now with the incredible visuals that go with it... (I do tend to be a very visual person, even with the written word.)

Did you say the source was available to watch online?

Thank you! I'm so glad that the tension and structure come through even when you're not familiar with the show. I really wanted to do justice to that conflict and also to how beautiful the show can be. ♥

I'm so thrilled you want to watch it. I mean, take your time, because it's enormously long, but yes, it is available online here -

I also made some spoileriffic clips here, but that's only for those not afraid of spoilage. ;)

Eeeee, a kdrama vid! *downloads* (I am ridiculous about spoilers, so I'm saving this until I've actually seen the show.)

SO MUCH LOVE!

How long did it take you to do this? 'Cause O_o

This just draws the most wonderful parallels between Deokman and Misil. They are SO MUCH ALIKE. At some point in the middle I really stopped thinking of Misil as "the bad guy" So much of her legacy paved the road for Deokman and some of the most juggernaut scenes of the show are the small moments they both let on how very much aware of the fact they are.

*happy sigh*

Thanks for making this!

YAY! :D I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

And it took me weeks, man. I was working on it when I made my vague comments in that other post, I just wasn't sure when it'd be ready.

I really agree with you about how wonderfully the show managed to convey the similarities between Misil and Deokman and how they're both hyperaware of that fact. I mean, the monumental, final attempt at a peace summit in the last episode before she dies, Deokman actually out and says it, to think of it as training a successor - she puts herself out there, offers to allow herself to be molded in this woman's image, and Misil just can't do it. GUH.

Re: your comment below - yayyyyyy for attempting to spread the word! Here was my attempt, somewhat more recently!

Thanks for watching this!

Incidentally, this was my effort to spread the gospel last year. ;-)

Oh good gracious a QSD vid! And a supremely excellent one at that! K-drama vids are rare and precious things. I absolutely adored Mishil and Bidam's messed up relationship so I particularly enjoyed your use of him here.

YAY! Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it. Mishil and Bidam's messed up relationship was totally fantastic. Basically my favourite thing about this show was Mishil's relationships with people. I knew this vid was going to mostly be about the power play between her and Deokman, but there's no way you can leave Bidam out of it, with the relationships he has with them both and the way that directly plays into his behaviour at the end. I wanted to bring him in earlier than I did, but it wasn't working, so I pushed it later - so I'm really glad to hear that it still works.

Thanks so much for letting me know you enjoyed it! :D
