Okay, I'm writing this up a bit early and probably without quite enough thought because later today DOCTOR SONG comes back and I imagine that will eat my brain for a while.

So. That was actually...mostly pretty cool.

I'm going to work backwards with your post because some of the things you said inspired some fascinating thoughts.

In my head his middle name is Christ Philip.
Henry Philip Dunham. That works for me. :-) I totally envision that Henry visited her with a big stuffed bear for the baby. Yup. I hope they are friends.

I was also fascinated by Walternate's reaction to her. Walternate has his line. He does want to convert her. He thinks what he's doing is right. He really believes that she'll be grateful he's saving their world and her child's life. He really shouldn't underestimate either of the Olivias ( ... )

i felt similarly eye-rolly about the early morning scene and i also didn't really care that peter was potentially walking to his death. that's just not where my emotional investment is. i was expecting something to go wrong with peter and the machine, but i didn't expect the machine to repel him.

i think the machine's rejection of peter is linked to the activation on the other side, and since they used henry for that, i now hope that fauxlivia/olivia gets drawn into the machine plot. i want olivia to be the one who saves the world in the end! it would most delicious if everyone thought this entire deal was ALL ABOUT PETER and then it turns out that, haha, nooo, it is actually ALL ABOUT OLIVIA. as it should be.
