NaViMaMo Vidlet: Harbour [Doctor Who]

GOODNESS, I actually got this done on time. Surprising, given it's as long as the last Doctor Who Season Five 'ship vid with an awesome song that got prompted to me. I SENSE A PATTERN. Especially given that they both start with near identical sequences. *eyedart* I might also have chopped up the song and put it back together again; I'M SO ( Read more... )

;alskdghldkhgd This is everything I wanted out of a Harbor vid for Rory and Amy! this is so wonderful - that whole first section with Amy chasing horizons, and then Rory guarding the Pandorica. :DDD absolutely lovely. *flaily hands* I looove them.

:D!!! Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it; vidding to order is exciting and challenging, but always a little nervewracking to see if you got it right, and so gratyfing when you did.

Thanks for the chance to work with such beautiful images and a gorgeous song. :)

Awww, since I'm pretty sure your heart was already pretty damn large, it must now be the biggest heart in the world. ;) I'm so glad you like it!

This is such a joyful video, rory/amy are my absolute favourite ships in Who fandom.

Awww, sweet! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I agree it's very joyful, in a sort of peaceful, serene way that probably doesn't fit 90% of the ship, but makes it lovelier for that! I actually started out reasonably meh about Amy and Rory but by the end of the series was sold on it as a really lovely story. They aren't my favourite ship, but seeing, in retrospect, how well and how carefully it was planned out and how they both changed and developed as a result of their experiences really impressed me.

That was wonderful. I love Amy. I don't even know her boyfriend/husband's name. But she's clearly, clearly awesome. I think I will just watch this show through your and Chaila's vids. :-)

You audio editing was seamless to me. :-)

I'm glad the audio editing was okay! I've become more taken with it lately because it's so versatile, but it always leaves me worried it'll pull someone out of the song.

You should watch this season! It's so...optimistic and happy and full of characters who care about each other even when they find it hard to say so. It's only thirteen episodes! But if not, then I will settle for watching via vids.

Amy is great. She's also surprisingly complicated for a lead in what's really a kids show. She starts out very emotionally shut off and has a lot of abandonment issues and you think that she's just a 21st Century Sassy Girl Character, but as the series develops you really learn why she's the way she is, and then you get to watch her...change and learn and heal.

Gorgeous!

I need to stop watching your S5 Who vids though, because they make me want to watch S5 and I DON'T HAVE TIME RIGHT NOW!!! LOL

Seriously, though. Way to give Rory and this ship their much deserved love. Also, great song choice. :-)

Yay! :D I can't take credit for the song choice - that came with the prompt, but it was definitely a brilliant one - made it so easy to come up with the narrative for it. And there's ALWAYS time to watch S5! :p
