Oooooh, what a lovely treat on a rainy morning!

Beautiful imagery, and the boys were perfect: Adam all needy and almost casually cruel and still caring enough to warn Max away and Max not sticking around, pushing until something had to give. And, God, they're hot!

Heh. I'm sure she enjoyed the whipping! But really, whatever trouble you had with the boys is not showing in the story at all! I was going to pick favorite lines now that I have some more time, but Tiger beat me to it. The ‘Yeah, I think so. I’ve just thrown up fucking class-A painkillers and I’m guessing that’s not going to result in a very nice side of me.’ -- ‘You’re kicking me out?’ -- ‘Consider it a friendly warning.’ has to be my favorite part of it all, of course. It's so very Adam!

But really, whatever trouble you had with the boys is not showing in the story at all! - thank you so much, that's absolutely the nicest thing anyone could have said! Adam was ever so much fun, when he clicked in my head. Brought out my inner GQMF shittalker.

It's not raining here, as it is with Sandrine, rather it's hot and steamy. A bit like Max and Adam in your fic. This is brilliantly done. My favourite bits are myriad but here are a few of the bits where I squee'd, guh'd and generally behaved like a fandom on crack:

‘Oh.’ Kit said, like this made any sense. In a display of inherited military fastidiousness, he glanced down.

That is Kit, to the life. Wonderfully well done.

‘Don’t fuck about, kid, I’m asking if you’re alright.’

‘I’m fine.’ The unasked question; should I not be…?

I love this, and also the chilling moment when Max first realises the full implications of being "involved" with an SIS operative. Blood and vodka on the tiles - that could be Carter's biography title.

Awww epic comment-comment! I adore you. So glad this worked for you as I've said, and thanks for holding my hand during the many crises the boys threw my way.

I'D read Carter's biography. Sleep with it under my pillow at night. I mean YOUR Carter's biography, I read the canon one (least said the better...)

I'm glad you picked up on the one moment of level-pegging - there's all these little touches of it in the early part of their 'relationship' that I found when doing 'research' for the fic (aka slightly obsessive re-reading) so it was enjoyable to work in.

The zipper thing was born of Adam wondering whether Max was a rentboy, rather than a natural. I thought it could be good fun.

I'm so so glad you liked it; I wondered if I was taking too much liberty with young Max. As for your kink button breaking, hope it gets mended soon; I had way, way too much of a good time pushing it. *g*

I'd be lying if I said I'd watched Spooks within..um, years, but I've yet to read anything by you. Becca!writing is awesome, you write absolutely superbly - your descrptions are honesy-sweet and delicious. I think I need to check out some more!

Wow thank you! this is tribute!fic to a much larger universe, which started life as a Spooks fic but has involved into something far more epic. Slash, guns, kink, boys, blood, vodka, violence, and the best writing I've ever seen in the world of slash, and indeed some of the best writing I've ever seen. I think you'd love it. I watched the recent series of TO=orchwood; OH my GOD. I think they took Jack to a place of no return. And they certainly WENT to a place where they can never return, in terms of IANTO. *wails*. Write! Post!

I hope you don't mind me being thoroughly unqualified to comment on this story, not being a slasher, but I just have to say that I am so excited by the prolific and collaborative nature of this fandom and also I took great delight in Max and Kit doing each other's homework. *g*

This fandom is the shiznit, as I think we've established *g*. Tiger was very kind to let me play with the boys, and hold my hand when they weren't playing nicely with me. As for prolific, Tiger is astounding in that regard.
