Yeah! It was just her first episode, but she made me think of my favorite New Who Doctors--Nine & Ten--which I take as a good sign.

Have not tried the new doctor yet, I couldn't stand Capaldi's version even though I tried. May have to give the new one a go. I still want to try to get into Stranger Things again, mainly cause I liked it at the beginning. But with it being on Netflix I tend to forgot to watch since I don't have it on all the time.

I've been dying to see what the first female Doctor was like, and I wasn't alone. Her full debut had huge ratings. It was only her first episode, but she reminded me of my favorite New Who Doctors--Nine and Ten--which I like. Some resemblance to Ten shouldn't be surprising, since the actress playing Thirteen worked on Broadchurch with David Tennant.

I found Stranger Things kind of slow in the beginning, but then first season is the origin story. I liked second season more because they had their main characters up and running so they could throw more at them. I liked Dustin right off first season. Steve's evolved into a character I really like through things that have happened in first and second season.

This reminds me: I need to catch up on Voltron.

I'm enjoying Magnum too. Not as much as the old one, but it's still really fun & I like the characters.

Depending on whether or not you want to be caught up before the final season drops, you either have until December 14th or after December 14th you'll be able to watch the show throw to the series finale. I will be so sad once the final season has dropped. I wish I'd gotten in on the show sooner.

I know what you mean. Some reboots or "revivals" are better than others. There are ways I love Voltron: Legendary Defender more than Voltron: Defender of the Universe in spite of nostalgia and ways I love New Who more than Classic Who. That said, as much as I enjoy the new Magnum, it hasn't done anything that's even brought it even with the original much less surpassed it. To be fair, it is just the beginning of its first season. It might get there eventually.
