I can never hear 'Who ya gonna call?' without instantly thinking Ghostbusters!
Me too! I was 9 when the original first came out, and the strength my nostalgia is one of the reasons I haven't been able to bring myself to give the reboot a try.
I hate it when people go females don't like this or that because it's not true, grr.
At a certain level I've gotten use to people saying to me, "You are so not right for girl," because of having interests that don't fit their gender stereotypes, but at another it always makes me both angry and sad that they think of that interest as one only had by one gender. I mean if it is good shouldn't everyone enjoy it?
It is sad when certain things are ring fenced as being for one gender. The cover art of a series of books I used to enjoy as a kid have had a boysey make-over in recent years which makes me sad.
I really need to watch Vampire Hunter D. It's been on my to-watch list for too long.
I like both the original from 1985, and the updated version from 2000. I happened to think of the more modern one first because I like the character design in it better than the older one.
Legion was fun. The follow up tv show wasn't great, but was interesting enough to watch.
Yeah, I spent the whole of the follow up TV show's run waiting to see if it would get better as it went along. I was disappointed that it never rose above "interesting enough to watch," but not sorry that I had watched it because it was interesting.
