Sick as a dog, somehow I always seem to get sick when I'm getting close to a vacation, but not dead. Winter Break starts Monday so I can be sick all week. Given I am sick I definitely need to do a list of things making me happy, and I'm going to do that right now-

1. The latest New Avengers book from Marvel. They've used the "New Avengers" ( Read more... )

Awww. I remember Billy and Teddy from when they were Young Avengers; somehow, I'd completely missed the part where they're all grown up now and part of the actual Avengers.

Some of the views in Jupiter Ascending were definitely made for a big screen - although even on a small one, they're still quite pretty?

And ho-hum, sounds like I've got some catching up to do when it comes to Suits. I still haven't seen the fourth season, even though I own it on DVD. ^^;

Hope you'll feel better soon!

I remember Billy and Teddy from when they were Young Avengers...

I wasn't reading Marvel Comics when the Young Avengers were being published so I missed out on their debut, and the whole Kid Loki business. I wish I had the money to play catch up. I felt bad for Loki's guilt in his book, and I'm curious about how Billy and Teddy were built up as a couple.

...somehow, I'd completely missed the part where they're all grown up now and part of the actual Avengers.

Given what a chaotic mess the whole Secret Wars/Battle World/War Zones mess was don't feel too bad about having missed the boys being grown up in an Avengers title after that mess.

...even on a small one, they're still quite pretty?

*Nods.* They're definitely still quite pretty.

Hope you'll feel better soon!

Thank you! *Hugs.*

MINOR SPOILERS FOR YOUNG AVENGERS! misura March 7 2016, 15:35:47 UTC

They uh kind of weren't? In the sense that when we first meet them, they're already dating.

I snagged Young Avengers Ultimate Collection and Avengers: The Children's Crusade when they came out as SC collected editions; for a look at the young ones, I can definitely rec both of them. (Kid Loki isn't yet part of the team in either of them, though.)

Oh. Suppose I shouldn't be surprised when they were all grown up from the start for the New Avengers without explanation. I'd still like to get to see some of their younger days. I mean whatever the current state of Billy's being, or not being, related to Wanda and-or Magneto I like to think of him as part of that family. <3

Kid Loki isn't yet part of the team in either of them, though.

No problem. Got suggestions about what to get to learn about Kid Loki?

Thank you! *Hugs.* Yeah, King Arthur is another fandom I could put on my faves list with Marvel Comics and Sherlock Holmes, over some of the fandoms I have on it right now. I mean I was serving King Arthur at the age of nine, or at least playing at being in his service in the Grailquest gamebooks.

Arthurnalia?

Heh. The structure we use in the States is "Arthuriana." My Medieval Literature professor would like to teach a class on it.

I was trying to get round the bowels of Knightmare castle when I was nine:)

I won't be so forward as to ask if we're the same age, or we both just started reading the series at nine. I will ask if you got to read all eight of the Grailquest books. Did you? I only got to read the first six because the last two were never published in the States. I didn't even know they existed until fairly recently. I'd love to get both of them some how some time. I thought they were so much fun.
