A Further Thought On My Fictional Forever Partners...

[Updated 12/4/20]

I've been doing a lot of thinking about how much I love Everett Hughes, and Kildarien Shadowbane, partly because of their comments about my Forever Partners list, partly because their writer expressed uncertainty about how I feel about Darien. As I've been thinking, it's occurred to me that there's a prerequisite to being on my Read more... )

Im such a cold hearted wench, I dont think Ive cried over a single one of the men on my list....
I think its the abandonment complex - I just dont get attached to people, or things, or even fictional charecters that much. Not even my own. Sure, I cry a little when one of my charecters has just been shot down or hurt by someone they love, but... need to kill them off for a plot line? eh - what the heck - go for it.

I dont really care.
Its scary.

Awww Tehtah, "I cry a little when one of my characters has just been shot down or hurt by someone they love," is something. I've run into people that would dismiss that as childish behavior beneath a grown woman. You just admitted to it. You might have an abandonment complex that makes you hold back from getting attached, but you aren't heartless. ;) Love ya (((((Tehtah.)))))

You heard Everett's reply. Cobra nodded a lot and got silent. Thoth, well he was the loudest. He said "sure I got shelved to her for years and i don't get an honorable mention? The world's gone insane."

But I understand. I didn't make my list out on the computer because those people on it are very dear. yes, I get emotional about characters. Sometimes more than I should. My huge problem was picking the top one. I sat there trying to decide what kind of love was better than the rest... not a good time of it.

I guess I care. Too much sometimes.

I'm glad everyone saw it. beccadg July 10 2004, 06:51:06 UTC
Yes, I heard Everett's reply. Some of those characters I don't have a fully fleshed out muse for. For one reason or another they haven't quite clicked into place for me. So, it was very cool to get to hear one of the characters, as he was being written by his writer, reply to this. I mean my Methos muse whispered in my ear that he knows better than to let me watch Methuselah's Gift without Till Death. That always puts the smile back on my face. But that's my Methos muse. I don't know what, say, PW would think of it ( ... )
