I have been hanging at Facebook, and their connection algorithm is making me paranoid, ganged up on, noodged. In the last two weeks, family members of a work colleague began popping up in the "Friends Suggestion" list; Do you know this person? it asks me ( Read more... )

There's so much to hate about FB. If I wasn't able to easily keep up with a few family members that are tough to talk to on the phone, and if I didn't enjoy seeing pix of weekendpbs's lovely kids, I would abandon it altogether. I hav a list of people who supposedly want to friend me that I'd love to tell to go do something physically impossible.

It's an evil thingamuhbob alright! I think I figured out what was causing the problem, and now I am being followed by people with the same name as my best friend in 4th grade instead.

Been a snowing up here, which is strange. Get any snow at all? Do you ever?

That's the result of all the data that has once been typed in into facebook and which they accquired through their users' consent to compare their e-mail address books with their data banks (and whatever else they offer to take in to compare it)...

In 2006, I was staying in a hotel in Auckland, and INXS was staying there. I ended up having a couple of drinks with their road manager, and we added each other on MySpace.

I remembered that incident a couple of months ago, and tried to recall his name, but couldn't. Not first nor last.

A few days later, facebook suggested I friend the fellow. So it reads minds, I guess.

You can friend me if you like. I'm susanstricken.
