My husband set me onto this - he had spotted that Lance had done an self-published autobiography, and wondered if I were interested in getting a signed copy from The Man Himself. Ah, B movie actors. The website is Not Bad For a Human.
I had been in the fan community via listserve back in the 1990's, but I lost touch after a while, and here was another incarnation of his fanbase, this time called The Tribe, and bunches of long rambling interviews with him on whatever. I was charmed because I just knew he was a freakshow, I could just taste it, but for 2 minutes spots as for PR for a film, he only has to keep his method-acted normal face on for a few minutes, so that was all you saw. Here, this fan Troy interviews him for an hour, two hours at a time, and the facade cracks and all that stuff in his head just flows out. Troy loves him and gives him unconditional positive regard, which is why I think the defenses come down a little.
