Saturday the 5th - Dream one in which I am having an extended conversation with a Dave Garrett or a Dave Barrett and he tells me to be sure to remember that he died at 9:22. Okay, dude! Look, I even wrote it down ( Read more... )

Entertaining post! My dreams are never that interesting or cogent, not even the sex ones. Come to think of it, sex dreams don't need to be cogent...

At the "far," as they are wont to pronounce it 'round cheer, I hope you washed your hands before skritching Mr. Porky, as we are being exhorted to do, to keep him from getting the human version of swine flu and morphing it out yet again. The thought appalls.

I love the Clydesdales, too, and yes, they are monsters! Unrelated thing, but the Clydesdales and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (mounts, that is) nearly killed me when I was 14. Just thought you should know.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police (mounts, that is)

Mounties? I've never heard them called mounts?!

I meant the Mounties' mounts, the horses, who tried to kill me

Was it the mountie himself or his big-footed steed what tried to killyou?

I must admit, you always seem to get the most interesting dreams...Dream Number Two sounds particularly trippy. :P

Chickens are adorable, they make such cute little noises. I think I would like to own some when I get older, depending on where I wind up living. There are so many different kinds and so many of them are so pretty.

Oh, me, too. They do make soothing noises.

If we lived out in the country, we'd have gotten chickens long ago. Plus, they lay eggs, if you don't mind stealing them from under a chicken-butt.

In re Dream 2, there is no accounting for my dream life, I find.

Number two sounds loopy and interesting, almost like it could be a short art film.

The Princess Something story reminded me of a similar incident with a curious bovine during a visit to a local farm sanctuary, I had climbed up on a gate to pet his head and was rewarded with having my arms slurped by an cow toungue.

EEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW COW KISSES!!!! hahaha.

You have been well and truly slurped when you've been tasted by a cow.

Did the cow seem to be used to being petted?

Oh yes, the funny thing about any animal rescue place like that is that all of the animals are used to being petted and fed produce and scritched. It's pretty cute actually.

After our conversation the other day, I had a dream that I was present while someone (not the someone we were discussing) was having his kidney removed. I was voicing concern to the surgeon because, during the operation, there was a large amount of additional biological matter being removed -- material that was, pink, intestinal looking, and branch-like in nature. I blame you for this one!

Hey, give that intestine back, I'm not done with it. bec_87rb September 9 2009, 14:43:48 UTC

I do apologize. Think it means someone owes you way more than a kidney, but you feel bad about claiming your "pound of flesh"?

It was an odd dream, but I'll forgive you this time. And, no, I don't think it's got anything to do a latent desire to claim a pound of flesh. I've never felt that way about anyone. I do, however, think it's got everything to do with your strange fundraising suggestion. If anything, you stimulated latent anxiety and concern over unsupervised black market kidney extraction. Have you seen Dirty Pretty Things? I believe this dream was a collision of that film with our conversation.
