... the magic happens. It was wonderful and fantastic and enthralling, what with creating this art and bringing it to our skins, and seeing it on us, and becoming a part of the mosaic of Palimpsest, makes me thrilled and tingly right down to my toes. I saw this on Ferrett-sensei's LJ and was amazed. Quite the work! I looked around your LJ and I found it interesting, so I hope you don't mind if I add you to my friends/reading list.

No, I don't mind. Thank you for visiting, and the lovely compliments. This has become a touchstone piece of art in my life, but I can't promise all my entries will be this fascinating.

That's pretty damn awesome.

Now I feel the need to read the book, or perhaps her other book (well, A Guide to Folktales in Fragile Dialects) because I know I can get my hands on a review copy . . .

Thanks! It didn't work quite like I thought, but it came out pretty good.

If you'd like, I can loan you The Orphan's Tales duet, and Palimpsest once Sarah's finished with it.

She's an intriguing, fantastical writer.

preeetee henna! (I'm assuming that's Cat in the front of the one photo?) Her top looks goldish on my screen, but that over the black; she looks gorgeous. Lovin' the outfit. (My creative outfit making brain has been on overdrive lately and I'm oogling what everyone's got on. Sorry.)

Thanks! Yup, that's Cat. Her corset was custom-made for her and this book tour. It's got some goldish bits, but it's actually more of a pale green with maps silkscreened onto it. But it's frickin' beauteous. You can see better shots of it in the entry preceding this one.
