Write what you want to write. Your audience will find you (not just "a" audience but your target demographic.) If someone doesn't like it, that's their problem, not yours. But letting others tell you what/where/how to write is ridiculous. Even if it is "just fanfic."

If you want to migrate to some place that will get you what you want to read, that's understandable, but if you're writing for anyone but yourself, you're doing it wrong.
