I once downloaded an Ace Combat demo from XBL, and I was shocked by how slow it was. It was like leisurely driving in the sky not the F-Zero-with-planes, missle dodging sim I thought it was going to be. Looked fast when my bro played one on the PS2.

I can't play ABC worth dogshit, I'm too busy clapping and being all, "HAHA IM GOING FAST!"

Yeah, pretty much with the exception of "Crimson Skies" and "TIE Fighter", flight combat-sims aren't something I've really been able to get into myself.

And yeah, the game definitely kicks your ass the first couple times, but thankfully a lot of the game-tweaking options are unlocked fairly easily (usually basic stuff like "shoot X-number of missles" or "enter Climax mode Y-number of times" or even "get game over Z-times") and those can be a HUGE help to boosting your score later on and thus unlocking more :)
